William Barber II is an American social activist and Protestant minister.
He is the co-chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival and the president and senior professor at Repairers of the Breach.
He is also a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's (NAACP) national board of directors and the chair of the NAACP's legislative political action committee.
Barber was the president of the NAACP's North Carolina state chapter from 2006 to 2017, the largest in the South and the second-largest in the country. Since 1993, he has served as the pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
