Tawatha Agee is an American background singer and songwriter.

She was the lead vocalist for the soul/R&B group Mtume, and their 1983 R&B smash song "Juicy Fruit" features her deep lead vocals.
From the middle of the 1970s till the present, Agee has constantly performed as a background singer, frequently with James Mtume, who also produced her sole solo album, Welcome to My Dream, for Epic Records in 1987.
She also performs with the Dave Matthews Band tour group "the Lovely Ladies."
