Offset is best known for his trap trio
Migos, which consists of him and his two relatives: Quavo and Takeoff.
Their popularity started rapidly growing when they published Versace in 2013. Their debut album
Yung Rich Nation came out in 2015, and 2 years later, they issued "Bad and Boujee", a song which was viewed more than 560 million times on Youtube! The single even reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart!
Offset,
Quavo and Takeoff grew up in the Atlanta's suburbs, in a poor and dangerous neighborhood. Quavo admits:
"I ain't going to sit here like, 'My neighborhood was hard, and I had to get out there and grind.' We made it hard for ourselves. We chose to stay on the streets."
Atlhough he's been mostly recording with Migos, Offset has published solo music as well. He collaborated with Metro Boomin and Drake on their song "No Complaints", which reached 71st place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He was also featured in Macklemore's single "Willy Wonka".
Offset was arrested in April 2015, alongside with Quavo and Takeoff, during their performance at Georgia Southern University. The charges against him included possession of a firearm in a school safety zone and possession of cannabis. He has spent 8 months in prison, because he allegedly attacked and injured another prisoner, and he got charged with battery as well.
Offset started a relationship with famous rapper
Cardi B in 2017. He publicly proposed her after a live performance at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
