John Schneider is an American actor, singer, screenwriter, director and film producer.
He gained widespread recognition for his performances as Beauregard "Bo" Duke in the American television action/comedy series The Dukes of Hazzard (against Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, and James Best), Jonathan Kent in the TV series Smallville (2001–2011), and James "Jim" Cryer in Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots.
Since the early 1980s, Schneider has also maintained a singing career in addition to his acting profession. He has produced nine studio albums, a best hits collection, and 18 singles.
